It's Almost Pumpkin Planting Time!

Happy Summer to all of our Fellow Gardeners! We hope you are having great success in your backyards. Our garden is doing beautifully. We are harvesting several varieties each of cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers. Soon the excess Texas heat in San Antonio will put an end to growing most things here and we will have to wait until the end of summer to plant our fall garden. Back East, you are just getting started with your gardens.

It is almost the middle of June, just about the time of year to start planting pumpkins so they are ready for harvest in October and November. Most pumpkins take between 90 and 120 days to grow.

We have a wonderful variety of pumpkin seeds for you to grow. There is the typical sized orange pumpkin, white pumpkins, pie pumpkins, giant pumpkins, decorative pumpkins, spooky pumpkins, interesting shapes and unusual colors of pumpkins...even black pumpkins. You name it, we have the seeds for just about every variety you can imagine.

Choose the types you want to grow and then count backwards from the date you want them to be ready and you will know exactly when to plant. Remember to allow an extra one to two weeks for the seeds to germinate once you plant them. Here is the link to our Pumpkin Seeds Home Page so you can see all of the pumpkin seeds that David's Garden SeedsĀ® has.
