October 18, 2020
We Have Garlic BulbsHello Fellow Gardeners!
We now have four varieties of garlic bulbs for sale in our store and online
here on our website. We have the following Garlic Bulb varieties:
German Extra Hardy
Right now, we have plenty but they will go quickly. This is our first time to offer garlic bulbs for sale and we already have two online orders as of this morning. First come, first served so don't delay!
Bread And Butter PicklesDavid has pickled several things this past summer and they have sold well. We still have some Bread And Butter Sweet Pickles. He wants to give away five jars for free to the first five people to email him. All he asks for in return is feedback on the pickles. If you would like a free jar of pickles, email him with your name, address, and contact information here: David's Garden Seeds firstname.lastname@example.org - and you can either come by to pick up your free jar of pickles or we will ship them out to you at no cost.
Come Visit Our Beautiful New StoreStop by and say hi to us at 5029 FM 2504, Poteet, TX. We are actually located in Rossville, right on FM 2504. There are signs on the fence as you drive by that say "David's Garden Seeds". Turn in at the gate and park in our parking lot.
An Important Tip is to stay on our driveway and/or our parking lot. Do not drive in the sand or you will get stuck in the sand unless you have four wheel drive.
We have lots of seeds (over 1600 varieties) and live plants from our greenhouse for you to purchase, and more. Our plants will change depending on the season and on what we have growing in our greenhouse.
The best part is that our beautiful new restrooms are complete and open to the public so no more outhouses!
We think you will enjoy the drive out to the farm. Once you get off of I35 or 1604, you will calm down and enjoy the country roads. There are horses and cows to see almost everywhere! We just love it out here and we hope you will visit often as we continually add on to the farm.
Our store is open from Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Everything is complete in our four new buildings except for our commercial kitchen in building #4. All of our commercial kitchen pieces are in place except for the sink and the cabinets and countertops. The plumber got us a tiny commercial sink that is too small. Then he ordered us a decent sized sink from China that was not packed properly. It was dented beyond belief. Now he is ordering an American one, which is what we wanted in the first place. Our cabinetry and countertops will be put in this week by Nahass Construction.
Our store will be open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. When you turn in to our parking lot, you will see four buildings. Our store is pictured above so you will recognize it.
Here on the farm, Juanita has been getting eggs every day from her chickens so we will be selling those for $5 per dozen or six for $2.50. The eggs come in shades of brown with an occasional blue egg. Not all of the hens are laying yet but we have gotten several eggs with double yolks. Our chickens are now 24 weeks old.
