|Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas!Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our fellow gardeners across the United States from David and Juanita. We pray you have a wonderful holiday season.
It is hard to believe that the end of 2020 is finally upon us. What a year we have all had! This year has made us all realize what is important to us.
Right now, we are stocking up for spring planting. If you want everything you normally plant, order your seeds early. In the spring of 2020, there was such a demand for garden seeds due to Corona Virus that many seed companies shut down because they were overwhelmed with orders. We stayed open and worked hard to get orders out to you. We expect a huge demand for spring planting seeds that will begin in January.
Order plenty now before the rush hits.
This year, we moved our operation to our farm an hour outside of San Antonio. All of the buildings are finished, including our commercial kitchen where we are canning and pickling and will have food items for sale as well as seeds in our retail store.
If you are local, come on over to our beautiful new farm store and pick up a dozen farm fresh eggs directly from Juanita's flock of backyard chickens. Stop by and say hi at 5029 FM 2504, Poteet, TX. We are actually located in Rossville, right on FM 2504. There are signs on the fence as you drive by that say "David's Garden Seeds". Turn in at the gate and park in our parking lot.
An Important Tip is to stay on our driveway and/or our parking lot. Do not drive in the sand or you will get stuck in the sand unless you have four wheel drive.
We have lots of seeds (over 1600 varieties) and live plants from our greenhouse for you to purchase, and more. Our plants will change depending on the season and on what we have growing in our greenhouse.
The best part is that our beautiful new restrooms are complete and open to the public so no more outhouses!
We think you will enjoy the drive out to the farm. Once you get off of I35 or 1604, you will calm down and enjoy the country roads. There are horses and cows to see almost everywhere! We just love it out here and we hope you will visit often as we continually add on to the farm.
Our store is open from Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Everything is complete in our four new buildings including our commercial kitchen in building #4.
Our store will be open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. When you turn in to our parking lot, you will see four buildings. Our store is pictured above so you will recognize it.
Here on the farm, Juanita has been getting eggs every day from her chickens so we will be selling those for $5.00 per dozen, two dozen for $9.00, or get a half dozen for $2.50. The eggs come in shades of brown and blue. All of our hens are laying now and some are quite large. We have gotten several eggs with double yolks.
Our chickens are now 34 weeks old.
