Time To Plan Your Garden

Time To Think About Peppers!

It is time to plan your spring garden and what says spring better than fresh, colorful peppers? Today's newsletter will concentrate on the types of peppers you can grow.

You can see all of our types of pepper seeds on this page: Pepper Seeds

Sweet Peppers

Sweet peppers can be bell peppers as well as specialty peppers. They taste good raw as a snack or in a salad. They are also good cooked in dishes.

Bell Peppers

Bell Peppers are sweet and delicious, whether raw or cooked. They come in a variety of beautiful colors including brown and purple. They can be mini or extra large and they taste amazing in fresh salads.

Specialty Peppers

Specialty Peppers come in a variety of shapes and colors and are sweet and especially good. I enjoy eating them as a mid afternoon snack.

Hot Peppers

Hot peppers come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and flavors. The level of intensity — from mild to mouth-blistering — is measured using the Scoville scale; the higher the number, the hotter the pepper. Hot peppers are a wonderful ingredient in lots of cuisines like Mexican, Italian, and the list goes on.

You will enjoy growing fresh hot peppers in your garden. They will taste fresher than what you can buy in your local grocery store.

Cayenne Peppers

Cayenne Peppers are long, thin, colorful, and hot. They will dress your hot dishes up to look good.

Ornamental Peppers

Ornamental Peppers are small, colorful, and good looking with a hot bite. Yes, you can eat them but they are mostly heat and seeds with a tiny bit of flesh used to flavor your dishes.

Chili Peppers

Chili Peppers are spicy but not overly hot. Think about a pot of chili and chili powder.

Jalapeno Peppers

Jalapeno Peppers are usually mild but depending on the weather during the growing season, they can be hot. We eat a lot of jalapenos in Texas and they are delicious in Mexican food.

Serrano Peppers

Serrano Peppers are hot like nobody's business but a lot of folks like them. We sell a whole lot of Serrano Pepper Seeds.

Check out our selection of pepper seeds while we have a good supply of them. Soon, your favorites will be gone. We sell from our website, David's Garden Seeds as well as on Amazon. Prime members will get free two day shipping when they buy on Amazon. Just make sure the collection starts with "David's Garden Seeds" because Amazon puts other companies' seeds in our Amazon store. Ours will always start with David's Garden Seeds.
