Amazing, Large And Sweet Mokum Carrots

by Emily V Dickinson

I planted Mokum Carrots from David's Garden Seeds in late spring, harvested yesterday. They are sweet, crunchy and mild. I honestly did not know raw carrots were delicious. I always thought they were tough, chewy and boring. We planted these only because my husband loves carrots and I wanted to try growing carrots for the first time in my little 4X4 boxed garden.I did not sow all the seeds due to limited space, but the ones I used all sprouted.
We got quite a few large carrots (where I successfully followed the instructions and thinned the sprouts) and a bunch of sad, small pathetic ones (where I did NOT follow instructions and got too lazy to thin the sprouts).
I only harvested about 1/3 of them because I was curious. I'm letting the others grow a bit more since it is still reasonably warm here in Chicago.

Mokum Carrots

Hi Emily! Mokum is a nice carrot. So glad they are doing well. It is important to space the carrots out or to thin them so they have room to grow. We love raw carrots! Thank you for choosing our carrot seeds!
