Also known as turnip-rooted celery and knob celery, celeriac has smooth, white flesh that is packed with pure celery flavor. A traditional winter vegetable in Europe, celeriac lends its delicate yet distinctive flavor well to soups, gratins, and stews, as well as juices, slaws and salads, throughout the cooler months. Our selection includes excellent varieties for storage, with large, round solid roots that hold for months under cold and moist conditions.
Brilliant Celeriac 50 Open Pollinated Seeds
Large, round, solid roots. Medium-large, round, and relatively smooth roots with buff-colored skin. Interiors are white and flavorful, and resist pithiness and hollow heart. In rare instances, contact with the foliage can result in a severe rash. When working with this crop on hot, sunny days, we recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants, and washing any exposed skin as soon as possible after contact. Harvest in about 100 days.
Mars Celeriac 100 Organic Seeds
Organic celeriac. Large, uniform roots with big, healthy plants. Interiors stay firm, even when roots are large. Holds well in the field. Upright plant results in less splash from rain and, hence, less soilborne septoria blight as well as easier cultivation. Harvest in about 95 days.
