Florist Blue Boy Centaurea seeds produce classic cornflowers with a deep blue color. Easy to grow. Upright plants produce abundant 1-1½" blooms. Prefers cool temperatures. Make 2 to 3 successive sowings for continuous summer blooms. Tolerates poor soil of medium fertility. Also known as cornflower, garden cornflower, and bachelor's buttons. PLEASE NOTE: Cannot Ship to NC. Centaurea cyanus is considered a noxious weed in North Carolina. Edible Flowers: Use the petals of this great edible flower for decorating desserts. Centaurea is also a popular choice for brightening up salad mix. Flavor is bland and mildly floral. The height of the flower can grow from 30 to 38 inches. Blooms in about 95 days.
