This page gives instructions on how to buy doomsday hybrid carrot seeds from David's Garden Seeds.
David recommends Purple Haze and Yellowbunch since they are not orange and scavengers may think they are contaminated. This may cause them to leave your carrots alone. Carrots will keep for a long time and can be grown until the ground freezes. They can be dried, canned and pickled as well.
Carrot Purple Haze 5000 Non-GMO, Hybrid Seeds
Flavorful and refined. Excellent flavor, raw or cooked. Combines purple skin color with sweet flavor. 7–8" tapered roots with medium-short tops. Skin is dark purple with a bright orange interior. Cooking will cause the color to fade. Imperator type. Harvest in about 73 days.
Carrot Yellowbunch 5000 Non-GMO, Hybrid Seeds
Very uniform with strong tops. Yellowbunch is a completely yellow Imperator-type with attractive, 7 1/2–8" long roots. High resistance to alternaria blight. Harvest in about 75 days.
Carrots can last for weeks depending on how they are stored.
Remember that hybrid plants cannot be used to reproduce seeds. Also when reproducing carrot seeds, it will take two years so make sure you get plenty of hybrids.

locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and
nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's
