This page gives instructions on how to buy doomsday hybrid radish seeds from David's Garden Seeds®.

David recommends the Baccus for a rich purple color, the Champion for a red radish, and the Pearl for a white radish.  The purple radish and the white radish may keep scavengers away since most people have only seen red radishes.

Keep in mind that hybrid plants do not produce the right kind of seed for transplanting.

Also radishes can last up to six months or more in the right conditions.

Bacchus Radish

Bacchus Radish  5000 Hybrid Seeds

Rich purple color and strong performance in the field. Bacchus is a perfect complement to Pink Beauty, Ping Pong, and any of our round red radishes. The skin is a deeper shade of purple than Amethyst, which it replaces. It is also earlier, rounder in shape, and much more uniform. A truly stunning radish! Recommended for early spring and fall harvest; flavor becomes quite hot in the heat of summer.  Harvest in about 26 days.

Crunchy King Radish

Crunchy King Radish 500o Hybrid Seeds

A new standard for rugged field performance. Crunchy King produces blemish-free red spheres in all conditions, with remarkably even maturity, resulting in consistently high pack-outs. Resists pithiness even beyond marketable size, and stays round in the summer heat.  Harvest in about 25 days.

Pearl Radish

Pearl Radish 5000 Hybrid Seeds

White, round radish with a small green neck for open field production. Vigorous growth with good resistance to cracking. Often produced for processing to make a white/red radish mix.

Harvest in about 28 days.

All of the variety information on the David's Garden Seeds® website, including the days to maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's performance. For information on which varieties will perform best in your area, we recommend that you contact your local county extension agent or a Master Gardener.
