For indeterminate beefsteak we recommend the Rose. Rose is a deep rose-red color, usually smoother than Brandywine, and
every bit as large and meaty. Normal-leaf plants out-yield Brandywine.
Try this for great tasting, big, sandwich-size tomatoes, especially if
you grow Brandywine. Harvest in about 80 days.
John David Helsel of Connecticut sent the seeds in 1991. His sister, Dr. Grace Kaiser, was a physician to the Amish in New Holland, PA, and was given seeds in 1960 by Hannah Lapp, one of her patients. One plant will produce about 40 tomatoes. These will produce until they freeze.

For indeterminate we think the Arkansas Traveler is a good selection. Pre-1900 heirloom grown throughout the South from northwest Arkansas to North Carolina. 'Arkansas Traveler' is an old Southern heirloom much esteemed for its ability to produce flavorful tomatoes under conditions of drought and high heat where many other varieties fail. Medium-sized fruits are pink, and of wonderful flavor. Harvest in about 90 days. One plant will produce about 25 tomatoes. These will produce until they freeze.
Arkansas Traveler Slicing Tomato 50 Organic Heirloom Seeds
For a slicing determinate we suggest the Oregon Spring. Medium-sized, early, cold tolerant. Avg. 6-7 oz. fruit.
First early harvest for cool northern or high-elevation locations.
Compact plant. High resistance to verticillium wilt. Harvest in about 60 days. One plant will produce about 30 tomatoes.

For an indeterminate cherry we recommend the Matt's Wild. The wild tomato with great flavor. These small, 5 gm., cherry tomatoes
are deep red, have a tender, smooth texture, and sweet, full flavor.
High sugar content. Though the flavor is superior, it doesn't yield as
well as modern varieties, and the fruits are soft. Fantastic in salsa
and for fresh eating. Some resistance to early blight and late blight. Harvest in about 60 days. One plant will produce about 200 tomatoes. These will produce until they freeze.

For a cherry determinate we recommend the Glacier. Delicious first-early heirloom. Cocktail-sized, 1-2 oz. red fruits borne
on a compact, determinate plant. Sweetness combines with moderate
acidity to create a wonderfully complex flavor. Smooth internal texture
characteristic of the finer heirlooms. Very nice eating tomato. Tolerant
of cooler spring temperatures and particularly well-adapted to the
North. Generally the first tomato to ripen in the field. Watering evenly
will reduce splitting. Harvest in about 60 days. One plant will produce about 100 tomatoes.
