This lovely, fragile looking flower, also known as Stiff Stem Flax, is a native to the prairies and pastures throughout the state of Texas. They seldom grow over 8 inches tall unless they are wildly happy about the place they're given. The plant has very small, pointed leaves. The flowers grow in clusters on the terminal ends of the stems; one flower in each cluster opening at a time. Blooms in the months of February thru September.
