Fibrous leaves have a stiff midrib, sharp edges, and purple bases. Aromatic grass from India. Essential oil contains large amounts of citral and geraniol, used for flavorings and perfumes. Also used for lemon tea for medicinal purposes.  Aromatic grass from India with the chaff removed for a higher germination rate.

Seeds are carefully cleaned to remove much of the seed coat material resulting in a higher germination rate. Essential oil contains large amounts of citral and geraniol, used for flavorings and perfumes. 6 to 12 stalks per plant, depending on growing climate. Harvest in about 80 days.
