LIVE PLANTS AT DAVID'S GARDEN SEEDS®

We sell live plants all year long, but we do not ship plants. If you would like to, please stop by our farm and explore our plants and seedlings in the near future.

The plants change continually. One week, there may be Comfrey plants, Reaper Hot Peppers and Wandering Jews in purple. The next week, the plants might include Chocolate Mint, Tycoon Tomato seedlings and Strawberry plants.

You will find seedlings, young plants and/or full grown plants. They might be vegetable plants, flowers or herb plants.

Soon the below listed plants will be ready for sale at our Farm Location.  Many of these are winter plants and will do well here in South Texas.  We are located at 5029 FM 2504 just outside of Poteet.  We will be happy to give you a tour of what we are doing and have planned for the future.

Basil Italian Large Leaf

Basil Tulsi Kapoor

Cauliflower Purple of Sicily

Collards Vates

Kale Toscano

Kale Olympic Red

Kale Red Russian

Lemon Balm Common Lettuce

Butter Crunch

Lettuce Tom Thumb

Mint Spearmint

Pepper Reaper

Succulent Alox Ferox

Succulent Rhendiola Russian

Succulent Crystalline

Special Note:  As of 11-12-2019 we have so much stuff growing that we have not been able to keep up with the listing here.  Hopefully we will get to it soon.

For more information email us at davidsgardenseeds@outlook.com.

Disclaimer:  THIS IS A WORKING FARM AND ON THE FARM THERE ARE THINGS THAT DO BITE AND STING.  THERE ARE ANTS, SCORPIONS, BEES, SNAKES, WASP AND OTHER THINGS THAT COULD BITE OR STING YOU.  WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ONE HURT BY ANY OF THESE ANIMALS OR INSECTS.

Currently we do not have a restroom facility.  The closest ones are 12 miles away in Devine or Poteet which is the strawberry capital of Texas.  This year it is April 3rd to the 5th.  Come visit the Festival and David's Garden Seeds®.  For more information see Strawberry Festival.

We hope to put in a composting or dry toilet as it is referred to sometimes.  See this great article on Wiki about it.  This toilet does not use water but materials that compost the poop.  We will then take this compost and do an experimental garden flower bed with it.

Some are saying, "But won't it stink?"  If done correctly, there will be no smell just like there is no smell with kitchen scrap compost.

The water, to wash hands, is called grey water and will be used to water the garden.  Thus we will save on water and the cost of putting in a septic tank.  We will be using only greywater that was  used for hand washing.  The soap we use will be grey water safe, which means it will not harm our plants.  Of course, we do not drink grey water.

We are really excited about the new things we will get to try out here on the Farm.

All of the variety information on the David's Garden Seeds® website, including the days to maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's performance. For information on which varieties will perform best in your area, we recommend that you contact your local county extension agent or a Master Gardener.
