This page gives instructions on how to buy sunflower tall single stem seeds from David's Garden Seeds. No garden or cut-flower planting is complete without the cheerful,
beloved sunflower. David's tall sunflower series consists of two main
types: branching, which produces an abundance of blooms per plant and
single-stem, prized by cut-flower farmers for its stem length and
strength and large bloom size.
Sunflower Tall Single Stem Formula Mix 50 Non-GMO, Open Pollinated Seeds
$4.45
A great, all-around mix of long lasting, sturdy blooms. Our Formula Mix, or Cut Flower Mix, is a favorite of gardeners and florists. Awesome blooms in an array of colors make for beautiful and striking flower arrangements, in the garden or in the vase! Blooms in about 85 days.
Sunflower Tall Single Stem Mammoth Grey Stripe 50 Non-GMO, Heirloom Seeds
$4.45
Tall Single. With huge flowers (often 10 to 12" inches across) these garden giants are developed for seed production (Sunflower oil, bird seed, etc.) Remember, these are the ones that grow from 8 to a whopping 12 feet tall, so unless you're planting them alone, scatter them throughout your meadow, or use them as a background screen. Kids love watching them grow so fast and so tall, and of course, they're magnets for songbirds. Special Note! These HAVE to be direct sown--as do most sunflowers. They do not do well transplanted. You need to space them at least 12 to 18 inches apart. Blooms in about 110 days.
Sunflower Tall Single Stem Royal 50 Non-GMO, Hybrid Seeds
$4.45
High-yielding, early sunflower for delicious, gray-striped, edible seeds and bird food. Single stem/bloom plants are 7' in height with a flower diameter of 8". Traditional-type hybrid variety with larger seeds. Good standability. Space plants 8-12" apart in rows 18-36" apart. Blooms in about 71 days.

maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific
locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and
nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's
performance. For information on which varieties will perform best in
your area, we recommend that you contact your local county extension agent or a Master Gardener.
