Excellent Ghost Pepper Seeds!

by Veanne
(Oklahoma)

Maybe I got lucky with my batch of ghost peppers, but 20 out of the 25 seeds germinated. No special tricks or paper towels or anything. I just used starter trays (with lids) with starter soil and a heating pad underneath. First eight germinated in 5-7 days, last one took about two weeks. I repotted them into separate pots when their leaves started sprouting out of the soil. They're all growing under LED lights in front of an east facing window right now and so far look healthy. Not really sure what I'll do with this many ghost pepper plants, but I wasn't expecting this many to germinate and didn't have the heart to pull out the little baby plants and throw them away.

All of the variety information on the David's Garden Seeds® website, including the days to maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's performance.
