Great Okra Seeds!

by Ben F
(Montana)

We picked these seeds up a few months back, and are growing them in Montana. Really great germination rate, and picked the first okra pod after about 50 days from direct sowing. About 70 days in now, and our 10 plants are producing about a pound of okra per week in a compact community garden. Very attractive plants that produce really tasty pods. Very happy with my purchase so far, and excited to see how long they produce in this climate. I hope to keep a few plants over winter for next year. Watch out for aphids, they love these too.

All of the variety information on the David's Garden Seeds® website, including the days to maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's performance. For information on which varieties will perform best in your area, we recommend that you contact your local county extension agent or a Master Gardener.
