These Sunflower Seeds Are Great

by Beth
(Wisconsin)

These seeds arrived quickly, germinated quickly, and grew quickly! I received the seeds in February 2019 and planted them within that same timeframe. I now have several growing and earlier this week (today's date is April 26, 2019) one finally opened into a full flower head. I'm 5'6" and the flower comes up to my nose, so it's at least five feet tall. This one is growing in a container. I have others that have not opened yet that are growing in the ground. So they may get even taller. I can't wait for them to open! I just seeded a few more this morning and plan to plant more in a few weeks so the blooms will last throughout the summer. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

All of the variety information on the David's Garden Seeds® website, including the days to maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's performance. For information on which varieties will perform best in your area, we recommend that you contact your local county extension agent or a Master Gardener.
