This Toscano Kale Has a Terrific Germination Rate!

I soaked ~40 seeds 36 hours and nearly all started to "grow".
The seeds were planted in a "Jiffy" greenhouse 3 or so seeds per plug.
As stated in previous reviews, Nearly All of the seeds sprouted and each are >1" tall after less than two days. Each sprout is substantial and appear healthy, ready for their introduction to at least a few hours of direct sun.
There are enough seedlings to give away some to fellow gardener-friends as I Always over plant anticipating Far Less Germination.
The rest is my responsibility.

Toscano Kale

We get so many great comments on our Toscano Kale seeds. There is no need to soak them. We sow ours directly into the soil and they pop up. They are cool weather hardy as well so they are good to grow in spring and in fall.

All of the variety information on the David's Garden Seeds® website, including the days to maturity, color and size are based on data from tests done at specific locations. Many factors, including geographic location, daytime and nighttime temperatures, the availability of plant nutrients, many unknown climate factors and insects/pest interact to determine a variety's performance. For information on which varieties will perform best in your area, we recommend that you contact your local county extension agent or a Master Gardener.
